Lots of parts and accessories. They carry all of the "big name" bikes. Very expensive. Find much better deals online.

Customer Service

Been in there several times and I never felt comfortable in there. They seem to cater to a certain crowd and I actually had one of their employees follow me around watching me. I didn't care for that. God forbid you bring in other than a Trek, Cannondale, or Specialized. I was insulted on one occasion asking about a part for my bike. I guess my Fuji and Jamis doesn't meet their standards.

I wouldn't give them my business. A very arrogant personnel.

A very busy bike shop especially on weekends consequently the staff is always rushed. You may even have to sign in a logbook before a salesperson will come talk with you. Don't expect them to spend much time with you to find the right bike--they push volume over quality of service. Also have to make appointments many weeks in advance during bike season to get them to fix something on your bike. They have a decent selection of off-the shelf bikes (Trek and Cannondale primarily)in lots of sizes as well as some higher end stuff like Seven's. So if you know what you need and can just walk in and roll it up to the counter and pay, this is a good place.

Customer Service

75% of the time my experience has been diappointing--either the staff is not knowledgeable or they are rude and pressed for time. As it is close to my house I keep giving them chances to redeem themselves but I usually wind up disappointed. Would like to be able to support it more but usually end up going to Marty's in Morristown. Service is way better there

Great selection, very expensive, will push you into something you won't like (like every person I have sent to them). They have it all and the shops are great...besides that there are many other shops that offer the same good info. and service. Hopefully you don't have a warranty issue because it will take forever.

Customer Service

Good because everyone rides. Bad because they are generally all snobs. A well rounded group from road to mountain and all levels of experience. A little pushy for the average customer who doesn't live to bike.

They have a big club with great rides and usually do a local crit race every year.

sells everything and has excellent service headuarters for local racing team watchung wheelmen

Customer Service

Exceptional. rarely am I ever even able to leave my bike for service- they will have me wait and do however complicated repair ON THE SPOT. This applies even on busy weekend days in summer. Many a Sunday ride was saved by their 3 pm Saturday wrenching!
Treats customers fairly and as adults. My 4 year old Lemond which I purchased elsewhere was given a factory repaint at the shop's behest- they do have clout due to their large sales volume.

Sponsors excellent tue sat and sun rides from the shop. Last year I went for the 'ultimate bike' and when shopping around my wife said: " are you crazy- with the service they give you, don't buy anything elsewhere!"

Pretty awesome bike shop, large, very well stocked w/ mountain and road bikes with parts and clothings for all your cycling needs. Pricing is on the high side on most bikes and parts with smaller negotiation room compare to some other shops.

Customer Service

Excellent service! Staff are extrememly helpful and will answer and explain everything to you even if you do not plan to buy from them. They offer many great advice and let you try out any bike on the lot. The service department will service your bike right infront of you and usually only within a few minutes. This is what all the shop should be!

Shop is well located on Valley Road in Stirling. Upon walking in first thing you'll notice is a well laid out and clean environment with a decent selection of bikes on the floor and hanging from the ceiling. Their mountain bike section is towards the front while their road section is towards the back of the store. They have good kids area including accessories. Clothing, spare parts and accessories and other gear are found towards the right side of the store. Behind the counter is a quick fix area where they'll diagnose your symptoms and apply a fix while you wait and watch (or shop). More serious issues are handled upstairs in their work-shop area.

Customer Service

Over the past 4.5 months I've purchased 3 bikes from High Gear as well as the usual gear and accessories. Bottom-line, I would not have spent the money in a store or dealt with people I wasn't completely comfortable with. More importantly, their staff know what they're talking about (Peter and Wayne, who I have dealt with, are excellent). Their style is conversational allowing you to define what your riding style is (or may be), what you may need and they then make suggestions rather than push what's available or rush you to a decision (my 1st bike wasn't in stock and had to be ordered). I respect their advice, like their attitude and admire their sensitivity to customer needs. Quick walk-in fixes are handled professionally and I'm given advice on what to do next time. Place gets busy but they have enough staff to handle the traffic. I always feel welcome walking in and always walk out satisfied.

Highly recommend High Gear. They may not be the least expensive or closest but they have provided me (and family) the level of quality service and buying comfort that is priceless and contributes to an excellent experience. High Gear offers group rides for various level of rider (Mtb and Road), offer scheduled "shop classes" (High Gear University) and have a decent web-site (although I suggest visiting the store and asking for Wayne or Peter).
