The store FINALLY shut its doors in January 2011.

Basically, your run-of-the-mill bike shop in New Jersey. The bikes are basically entry to intermediate level (both road & mountain). They stock mainly Kona and Specialized at this particular location (they are part of Somerville Cyles who stock Gary Fisher at their location).

Not much selection in terms of parts and accessories. Some selection, but not much. For an avid cyclist looking for deals on high end stuff, look on the internet. No 29er inventory to speak of.

The staff is knowledgeable in so far as helping a beginner or intermediate rider, but not incredibly detailed or technical.

Basically, it's a shop that can accomdate the beginner or intermediate rider well. However, if you're an avid cyclist who knows a great deal, you might just stop in to get some lube or tubes, or if you're really in a bind mechanically.

Customer Service

The shop is made up of a lot of high school aged kids who are not incredibly passionate about cycling, but know some things. Some staff are more knowledgeable than others. Like I said, it seems their business is geared more toward the beginner or recreational cyclist. It suits their business well and if that's the model they need to follow to stay in business, so be it.

If you're an avid cyclist or ride 29ers, you're better off elsewhere for parts, bikes, etc. I mainly stop in if I'm in a pinch, and in that respect their excellent. They get a little boost from me because they're right around the corner.
