Very nice shop located in the heart of Mass. street. 8th and Mass to be exact. As others have mentioned the inside of shop is pretty cool with it being split up into 3 building spaces. They had bikes from Trek, Gary Fisher, and Specialized. The thing I liked the most was the selection of parts, accessories, clothing, and friendly staff. Everyone wore a smile and you didn't feel uncomfortable being in there at all. Prices on bikes and gear are considerably cheaper that the Topeka Trek, Specialized, and GF dealer. Specialized gloves and helmets were 10-20 bucks cheaper here at Sunflower compared to the Topeka dealer. If you're in the area or not far away I suggest you check this bike shop out! They are awesome in every way!

Customer Service

I went in with my wife whom is casually wanting to get into riding. Staff helped her by looking at 3-4 different bikes and helped determine what one would fit her best. While she wasn't ready to go out and take a test ride they were very helpful and we will be going back in the future when she's ready to buy.

Downtown location in a great old building worth the visit just to see the building. They are split into a few shops, the bicycle side, outdoor wear, rock climbing & camping gear. As a cyclist, I mainly browse the bike shop and bug the mechanics. They offered 3 brands of bikes the last time I was in. Specialized, Trek and Gary Fisher. They also carry entry level through bikes that cost more than my car. They also sell related gear like clothing and accessories from these brands as well. Over all they have a quality selection, but obviously do not have everything. If you need something, chances are they have something that will work and of quality.

Customer Service

Most times, the services is great. Within a few moments of entering, someone or a few people always smile and say hello. The guys over in the bike shop really know there stuff and the mechanics have helped more than a few times with repairs and parts and genuinely seem to enjoy helping everyone out. I trust their opinion and feel like I am being sold the right item, not the most expensive. There prices on bike are a bit high, but you also get quality help when shopping including proper fit and the right level for your budget and experience. From past experience, they stand behind the bikes they sell and will make small tweaks and adjustment for FREE on the spot. What else could you want?

Again, prices are high, but you get what you pay for. You also get good answers with experience. I like to ride, and ride enough to know when someone is yanking my chain or really wants to help out. I know these guys love what they do and it shows.

This shop is a great bike for all levels of riders. If there is a downfall, it is that the shop isn't big enough to offer lots of selections in all categories. Basically, three brands of bikes, two or three brands of clothing; oh, just two or three brands of everything. If you read about some great new thing in a magazine, you may not find it here, but every single basic is covered with good quality equipment. And, they gladly special order. The mechanics are top notch and will work dilligently to fit in emergency repairs. And, did I mention the oodles and oodles of good, solid, free advice?

Customer Service

Customer service is what this store does best. The staff is experienced and knowledgeable. The best thing? They listen. And then, they work to help the customer achieve the customer's goal. No trying to foist higher-priced gismos off when less expensive options are what customers want or need. Actually, I have had them talk me out of an expensive item in favor of the less expensive option that actually worked better for my purpose. There is also no rush. Try a bike. Come back next week. Try again. I'm sure there are limits, but I've not found them.

The store offers regular discounts to bike club members. Also, they will order anything and get it reasonably quickly. When considering the discount and the value of the personal service, prices are frequently competative with those in popular catalogues or higher priced stores. When shopping for a bike, if last year's model will work, ask. Discounts on unsold bikes from prior years can be very generous.
