The Bicycle Doctor - Bikeshops, Norcross, Georgia

DESCRIPTION

This is the most friendly bike shop I have ever been to! Scott Mosko over at The Bike Doctor is very knowledgeable, he answered questions that other bike shops could not answer for me. He really helped a newbie out! If you are just starting out like me I think this is the best shop to go to! This shop doesn't have a huge inventory or tons of accessories, but Scott will help you as much as he can or send you to another shop that can meet your needs.

Smaller shop, off the main road. Good selection of bikes and parts. Reasonable prices, probably because they do not have to pay expensive rent for advertising on the main drag.

Customer Service

Friendly and provide helpful explanations of their repairs.

After 8+ trips to two other bike shops, and spending hundreds of dollars, my bike still did not work. The inexplicable ghost shifting at unpredictable times was just as bad as it had been at the beginning. After replacing all of my drive train components twice, I was at the point I thought I was going to have to get a whole new bike. A friend of mine recommended visiting these guys before I did anything drastic.

It took one visit and a $25 fix for them to bring my bike back to life! It turns out the cable housing that runs under my rear suspension main pivot was cut short. This caused my rear derailleur to actuate when my suspension engaged.

I will not be going to any other bike shops from now on. These guys really know their stuff. I wish I had known about them before. It would have saved me $600+, but they did save from having to spend $3K+ more to get a new bike.

Had a wheelset built here and I've ordered a frame through them. I consider it a no BS shop. Service is pretty quick and the staff is courteous and professional. You won't likely find the best retail price on stuff here, but that's not the point. As a LBS, this place is the benchmark around Atlanta.

Customer Service

Sets the bar. 'Sales' seems to be something they do on the side.

Their location is a little off-track. Yet many intentional seek them out.

I've been taking my bike here for 4 years. I am very particular and Scott always gets the bike dialed in. If you want your bike to ride perfectly, don't even think of taking it some place else.

The Bicycle Doctor is located in Norcross in an industrial area close to I-85. It is probably the most conveniently located shop in the area.

When you enter the shop, be prepared for a surprise. Scott has an amazing inventory of all things bike. There are bikes for the beginner as well as bikes and framesets for the advanced rider to drool over. Also, if he does not have it, he can get it and at a price that is competitive with any you will find on the internet.

This is not a high pressure retail type store where the sales people want to make the sale and then get you out the door. This is the type of store that you like to hang out in, even if you are not looking to buy anything. The people are friendly and the conversation good.

Customer Service

I found "The Bicycle Doctor" while searching for a LBS to purchase a new head set for my Ibis Mojo. I contacted the owner Scott Mosko by telephone. Scott promised to have me a red Cane Creek IS110 in his shop the next day. I must admit that I was skeptical.

As promised, Scott had my new headset installed in a few minutes. His attention to detail is great. The installation was so good that even the logos and engraving on the headset were all even and symmetrical. This may sound picky but its what I expect and what makes me happy. My Mojo rides so much better.

I have to add that Scott does the work. Not kids that seem to change every time you go to a shop. Visit his website and check out his experience.

After my first experience, Scott has a new, dedicated, and life-long customer. I highly recommend Scott and "The Bicycle Doctor" to anyone looking for anything bicycle, or for someone to work on their bike. Again, take the time to stop by and you will be in for a treat.

The shop is located in a small space, but even in this small location, it seemed to be very well stocked. I needed to go in and get what I needed fast and was able to do that. Great service.

Customer Service

EXCELLENT!! No hassle sales and service. The owner is very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me on the most expensive items.
