Strange, I don't understand the associate unfavorable reviews....this WAS the best bike shop ever ( moved ). Owner ( almost lovingly ) restored my 20 yr. old Raleigh at very reasonable cost. Highly likable person, too. They even had a bicyclist's lounge and sofa and drinks, area to socialize in and organized many local rides. Miss the shop and service and wish it would come back to Dahlonega or tell me where they relocated to.

I was scammed!! 2 1/2 months ago, I paid him for a mountain bike he was supposed to build for me. A week ago I finally received the wheelset and nothing else...more than two weeks after he received a phone call from a legal office. Now he won't return phone calls, text messages or even answer the phone at his place of business. Since he's robbed me of my money and won't have any contact with me at all, I thought I would spread the word for people to be very careful before conducting business with him, if ever. I WANT THE REST OF MY BIKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nice guy to ride with, but not great in business....

Customer Service

does not answer phone calls or emails, beware of promises, and don't pay upfront!....still waiting on cash from him. He said he knew what he was doing, but my road bike had to be completely rebuilt by someone else after he assembled it.

I have lived all over country and this is the best shop I have ever used. The owner may be the most knowledgable "true rider" I have ever met at a shop. Group rides rock and service is fast!

Great shop in a great location. Plenty of bikes and component packages to choose from and owners who (a) actually are there and (b) know what they are doing.

Customer Service

I was looking to buy my first full-suspension bike and sent the shop and email with specs from an online deal I had found. Quite honestly, I didn't think they'd come close to matching it. Jon called me immediately with a recommendation on a similar frame and matched the components either equally or better.
After visiting the shop Jon spent a ton of time with me spec'ing out the bike and making sure it was what I needed. Finally, he took my hardtail in a very generous trade and held the bike for a week for me. When I came to pick the bike up he then spent another 1.5 hrs fitting me and making sure it was just right. All in all, one of the best customer experiences I've ever had.

Lots of nice bikes but that's about all.

Customer Service

The guys are nice enough but there's a difference between real knowledge and ego. Too much ego there for me. I'd rather have someone give me an honest answer about a component choice rather than tell me I should switch to Campy because their ego requires the italian heritage. I also have some reservation about the guy wrenching my bike drinking beer at 2 o'clock in the afternoon...while working on my bike.

Was impressed by the number of quality bike lines they carry...but would rather entrust my wrenching to someone who takes it more seriously.

When the owner tells you its ok for a shock to shoot out oil
all over the place and never add air to an air shock almost cause sever body damage to one of my close friends. Its time to hang up the towel.

It's a nice looking shop with a lot of high end bikes. However The couple of times I've been in this shop they seem more interested in inflating their own egos than helping the customers. They spent more time talking about "booze" and making vulgar comments about college girls than riding bikes. The one time I made the mistake of letting them work on my bike it shifted worse than it did before. I ended up having to re-adjust it myself in the middle of riding Bull Mountain.

...by the way, how lame is it that the shop manager did a self revue of his bike shop and even himself under the alias "Moe Lester"? The other shop in town that he for some reason feels the need to trash talk, is where I plan to go from now on when I'm in town. The Walmart parking lot is much more convenient for riding the gaps anyway when I'm riding road and it's equally close to the Ranger Camp and Bull Mountain area on dirt days. The guys at that shop have always been more friendly and helpful in my experience.
