Reality Bikes - Bikeshops, Cumming, Georgia

Reality Bikes - Bikeshops, Cumming, Georgia

DESCRIPTION

Reality Bikes is a real surprise! I would never expected to find a great bike shop in Cumming, especially after visiting so many disappointing shops in Atlanta. All of the staff are experienced dedicated bikers (both mountain and road), and they are very helpful. the shop has a great selection of high and medium end bikes and components (including Ridley, Blue, and Fuji carbon bikes and frames). This shop is worth a drive to exit 14 on Hwy 400.

Strength:

I have been riding bicycles for a long time now. Back in 2012, I was looking to get myself a new Yeti. The bike manufacturer is boutique and not many bike shops in my area were carrying this brand. I went there looking for a SB95. One visit and I have ended up buying a lot many bikes and products from them. Their customer service and knowledge of the products they carry is bar none. I have visited other bike shops in my area and talked to folks but very few come close to this bike shop. If they don't have a product in stock, they will work with you to get it in and will call you to let you know of status. Like I said earlier, this is my go to bike shop for everything and I don't mind driving 15 miles (I have quite a few bike stores within a 5 mile radius) to get to them even if it means spending sometime just chatting bikes. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Weakness:

None I can think of.

As far as I am concerned this shop is horrible. On three different occasions my husband and I were ready to drop a lot of money and believe it or not we could not find ANYONE in the store willing to take a second out of their gossiping and flirting to help us. One specific time I called down to the shop to see if they had two kids bike ($400) each for our 5 yr olds and was told that they had two of the exact same in stock. We drove 2 hours down there to find out that they had one bike at $400 and another at $800. That was the final straw for us. We will be driving to Ellijay to Cartecay Bikes from now on. It is out of the way and takes a while to get there but it is worth the great customer service, fair prices, and knowledge of Jim and Mike.

I bought a 1,000.00 bike there and they called and said it was ready. I went to pick it up and it took them 10 minutes to find it. I loaded it up, took it home and tried it out. The shift paddles were adjusted in so close to the brake levers on the handlebars that a five year old could not get his hand in there. The shifters were not adjusted properly and the chain kept falling off. Then, I noticed that they had installed a 3-speed shifter on the front sprocket and I have two gears. Why do I want to be shifting extra, I'll never know. I thought, "do I want these people adjusting my bike when they obviously do not pay attention to detail." No I don't think so. I fixed it myself and won't be back. Everybody makes mistakes but there were too many things wrong that there were no mistakes, just indifference.

These guys worked with me under pretty odd circumstances, and gave me a killer deal and top-shelf service. Can't get much better.

They just recently expanded the entire store to double the size. In the process the repair area at least quadrupled in size. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and will give you a straight up answer about whatever you are thinking of doing, they aren't just looking to make a buck, but are looking to make you a regular customer. Every repair they have completed for me and my friends have been on time, correct, and cost-effective.

Customer Service

Any one in the shop is willing to help and people aren't waiting around, also, the owner is usually on site and will step in to help from repairs to sales if needed. Chris and Eric are especially knowledgeable about ALL types of cycling.

Highly recommend this shop. I live near which is a benefit, but I can safely say, knowing several shops in the Roswell, Cumming, Alpharetta (work in Alpharetta)GA400 corridor, that I would drive past all of them for Reality Bikes' advice and service.

This is my favorite bike shop! I have been in most of the shops in Atlanta, and I have been disappointed with them. Most shops have a poor selection of the race quality gear that I am interested in, and most have employees that are not very helpful/knowledgeable.

Customer Service

I have been helped by the owner, and I think every one else that works there, and the are all terrific. Every time I go in, I am greeted and offered help. They really know their stuff, and I have no affiliation with them. I am just a happy satisfied customer.
