I LOVE THIS SHOP! Dave and his guys are totally laid back, totally professional, and they know their stuff. They fix things right the first time, and I never feel like they are padding their pockets by pushing me to by stuff I don't need. Dave is straightforward and honest about what needs to be done now and what can wait till later. He has found replacement parts in his bin when I needed something on short notice (like drop-in, same day, while I wait). They specialize in custom builds for riders, but they also customize bikes for people. They made a tandem trike that is one of a kind! In addition to superior repairs and service, a professional bike fitter works out of their shop. I haven't made an appointment yet, but it's next on my list. Customer Service The service is the best I've ever experienced. I tell all of my cycling friends about this place. This is a small shop with a lot of pro-level customers, but Dave treats everyone with respect and values all of his customers. It seems like everyone who comes in leaves a friend of the shop. Racers have come in, followed by moms dropping off toddler bikes for tune-ups and training wheel removal, and they are so cool to everyone. I've never felt weird bringing my old mountain bike in here. I've been to other shops in and around my house in Golden, and I kinda think they are nicer to people who come in with nicer bikes - a totally different atmosphere than you'll find at Canyon Cycles. Similar Products Used: I started off with a Schwinn full-suspension mountain bike, and Dave helping me find a comfortable seat that didn't kill me to ride in for more than 10 miles, and I've bought every bike since then from Dave. Dave took the Trek 5200 I bought from him on consignment, managed to get it sold to a woman in CT who needed a high-end bike in her size (SMALL), and then he found me a perfect Litespeed Bella. I just bought a new Santa Cruz Blur to replace my Schwinn. If you are looking for an upgrade but can't afford a brand new bike, stop in and ask Dave for help. He has an amazing knack for finding and selling road bikes, mountain bikes, cross bikes, kids bikes, toddler bikes, etc. on consignment.

Canyon Cycles has the best mechanics I have found in Colorado in the last 20 years of riding -- no BS, no attitude, just done right! If you need a fork or shock rebuild than go no further. Save yourself the trouble of shipping and the uncertainty of when you might actually get it back by bringing it here. It will be done correctly and fast (day or two at most) for less than what you'd pay at any other shop or at the manufacturer. Customer Service Straightforward and no crap. You need something fixed on the cheap, they'll dig and get you back out biking for pennies. I got shifters from them last year and after 600 miles, I yet to need the cables adjusted! They look at you as some who wants to bike -- and don't mock a 5 year old bike. I really wish other shops would learn to love bikes, regardless of age AND THESE GUYS DO!

Best bike shop I have found to date. The reviewer below by "bsob" sums it up better than I can. Customer Service Excellent customer service, no BS, Dave will work with you and give straight answers. I take my bike in once a year for some upgrades and a tune, and it always come back perfect. I can't say enough about this shop. Another good thing about the shop is the drive, what a great twisty drive with nice scenery. Similar Products Used: See you in March Dave, great shop you have. |

I love this place, Canyon Cycles. It's the dive bar everyone hates to love, but you end up meeting your best friend there at least once a week. They have their own gravitational pull! Like it or not you're drawn in.
Customer Service Top Notch...A++++ Similar Products Used: Thank you for not being in a strip mall and staying genuine, in your people and shop. |

I liked this shop so much when my teammate suggested we ask them to be our shop sponsor, I said YES. Now they sponsor our gravity team. Laid back cool guys who know what they're doing. Similar Products Used: The also sponsor Team Evergreen, a XC and cyclocross team. With all the racers giving them feedback, they definitely know what they're talking about, whether is XC, DH, DJ, or cyclocross. |

Great little bike shop. Dave always seems to have the answers. He really seems to understand both the seasoned bike racer and the family recreation crowd. He can provide very high end products and also appreciate cyclists on a budget. They are great ambassadors to the sport. I trust them to do anything to my bikes, including a custom build and custom wheelsets. Customer Service They treat you like a friend rather than a customer. They can always offer alternatives if you are looking to save a buck. |

A great bike shop. They always have the right answer for me. Canyon Cycles has the best service department around. I drive for half an hour to get my bike fixed there. Customer Service Customer service is awesome! I feel like I am the only one in the shop, the 1 on 1 attention makes me feel important even know I don't have the latest or greatest bike out there. A true bikeshop. It may not be a flashy bikeshop, but they can answer all your questions and give you great service. Customer Service Excellent customer service. They know what they are talking about and if they don't have the answer, they will research it and get back to you. Similar Products Used: I had issues with my mountain bike and other shops couldn't fix the problem. I bought it here and they diagnosed the problem and fixed it without charging and arm and a leg. I have been a loyal customer since then. When you get the chance, check them out! |
