The shop looks a bit tired, but don't let that fool you. The sales team has more information than you could ever need to know about products and the mechanics have a solution to every bike problem you could have. The sales floor is well stocked with many bikes and there is a pretty good selection of used bikes up stairs. They also have just about any accessory you could ever want from bottle cages to jerseys and helmets....Also plenty of ski equipment but thats a review for a differnt website. Customer Service As for the customer service, I am more than satisfied with their willingness to make me happy with my purchases. They are more than willing to teach a customer about products and have fixed minor problems with my bike for no charge. They are also full of information about local trails. Similar Products Used: This is by far the best bike shop in the four corners area. |

Not the hugest selection, but definitely adequate to take care of our needs during a trip. Customer Service Absolutely phenomenal. A guy named Ron was ridiculously helpful. He spent about 30 minutes detailing several rides for us. Then, one of the guys on our trip backed into something, damaging my bike rack. We got a hold of Ron, who ordered the individual parts from Thule. When they were going to come in a day late, he gave us the parts off his personal rack and insisted on installing them himself for free. He put the new parts on his rack a day or two later when they came in. Similar Products Used: Ron wasn't the only cool guy at the shop, several of the other guys were chiming in when we were asking about trails to hit. I went to Durango expecting the prick attitude I got when I had a phone conversation with some guy from Hermosa Tours; was totally surprised by the reception and help at this shop. I'll go back. |

Big shop with a large selection of bikes & parts, but disorganized. They saw me coming as as a tourist as I went to get 32 spoke nipples to re-do my wheel. Tried to charge $1/spoke nipple. I backed out of the sale and he immediately dropped the price to 50 cents/nipple. Should be around 25 cents each. I had purchased a few in Cortez 3 days prior at 25 cents each. Customer Service Very good trail information and that was the only reason I went ahead and purchased the spoke nipples at their inflated prices. Similar Products Used: Laid back riders work there - that's both a plus and a minus. |

Gary and crew have expanded 2nd Avenue and now has the largest selection of bikes in Durango. Highend dream machines from Titus, Yeti, Ellsworth. Supper selection of kids bikes, road bikes, cross bikes, townie bikes! I live in Durango and only shop at 2nd Avenue because of the selection and friendly helpful staff who ride. There are other good shops, but 2nd Avenue can't be matched. Buy Local!! Customer Service Exceptional! I have had so many positive experiences. Last minute bike repairs at closing, etc. The added bonus is 2nd Ave also offers winter sports gear (skis: alpine, telemark, touring) so they keep you recreating all year! |

A nice little shop with lots of complete bikes.. parts are a little lacking but they'll order stuff quickly for you. Customer Service The reason why this is always the first place I go. These guys have helped me out with everything from trail beta to technical advice. They gave me a free bike box to ship a frame and have even done a free after-hours repair to help me out once. Nice and laid back with no uptight employees... |

Crowded shop with too much going on. Customer Service Unfriendly and disrespectful staff, "know it all's" for lack of better terminology. Similar Products Used: This is the last place I will go for mountain bike products in Durango. |

This shop rules, it's probably the best shop in Southwest Colorado. They have the largest invantory in Durango and their staff are super friendly to everyone whether your buying a $300 bike or a $6000 bike or just getting your clunker fixed up to get you to the bar. They have excelent customer service and the best bike mechanics in town. Customer Service This is the friendliest shop I've ever been to. Plus they are very knowledgable and they are all sole riders. Fun bunch of guys to go riding with. Similar Products Used: Swing on in and check it out for yourself. |
