Its hit or miss. Have had good experience and poor ones. Found better shop would probably not go back.

I have a feeling this place is more of a roadie shop than anything (common in Denver).

The Spoke has been one of my favorite shops for about 10 years now. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and they treat regular customers like family. There is no shortage of honest opinions on all things cycle from the staff--great to hear from the people who fix bikes all day. They are not the kind of shop to sell you something that sucks just to make a buck. Although the Spoke has been through some ups and downs, especially with Dong passing away, they really are still the same bad ass shop.

Customer Service

In my mind, the Spoke is a service-centered shop. While they do sell merch, the real strength is the service dept.

Quick turn around on parts ordering. Very friendly staff. Bar none one of the most knowledgeable service staffs in town. There is simply nothing they will not work on.

Noticed that they recently rearranged the shop with a nice open service area. This is a great improvement!

Good selection of both MTB and Road bikes. Good high end clothing.

Customer Service

Good - Consistent wrenches in the shop. They have little turnover in the two years i've been going there.

I've always had a good experience at this shop. Nice, knowledgeable friendly staff. Charlie is a good man. The two dogs that are usually there are really laid back too. Been going to this shop on and off for about 10 years. The store has a good selection of both mountain and road bikes. Good selection on accessories too.

Would recommend this shop.

Customer Service

Service is always good, they let you know up front how much and how long and don't rip you off. I like how they service small repairs while you wait.

Seemed to have a lot of nice stuff.

Customer Service

I stopped in there once in 2005 and was impressed with how nice everyone was. I was an out of towner just stopping by to look around and the employees seemed to enjoy talking to a bike shop employee from out of state. Flash forward to a few weeks ago. I stopped by to look around and I felt like I was looked upon as a burden. I didn't get far into the shop when I met a gruff salesperson who seemed just plain irritated. After asking a question that was replied with a quick "No!" I just left.

I was recommended to a contact a particular guy at this shop. Unfortunately for me, he died unexptedly before I could buy a bike through him. My story may be a single incident, but you should know about it.

Customer Service

Oh boy, read my other comments.

I bought a complete bike through Denver Spoke and had it shipped in parts/unassembled to Germany. While they prepped the frame nicely and packaged everything well, I originally had understood I would get $100 off the bike. I let them know through a confirmation email they did not comment, so my expectation was set.

After a series of credit card charges for the bike, a shock upgrade, and shipping, I paid the list price though they saved on the assembly of the bike. When I called them to complain and figure things out, they turned me down.

It seems a guy called Dong Ngo worked there until he died lately. It seems to me he was the heart and soul of that shop with regards to customer satisfaction. Not even having known him, I miss his spirit in this shop.
