Strength:
Decent location (as in not buried deep in the Springs) but it's still kind of difficult getting to. You have to wander around parking lots and internal service streets. They seem to have a decent selection of bikes if you are looking for Trek or Rocky Mountain, but that's about it. Weakness:
The staff are courteous enough but always seemed to underwhelm in the personality department. Never seemed enthusiastic to help or even promote cycling. When I was researching a possible upgrade to a part, no one could answer my questions in detail, nor did they seem to want to answer them. I wound up calling my old store in Loveland for the answers I sought and answers to questions I didn't even know I should have asked. Components and accessory supplies are low. They don't sell tools or many other things without having to order them. |

This place is amazing!! I walked in here knowing nothing about bikes and just getting in to the spot. That didn't stop Patrick from showing me some exceptional customer service. He understood where I was coming from and answered all my questions in ways that a noob like myself could understand. I will be taking all of my business to these guys. Customer Service Some of the best customer service I have ever seen. I stopped in here to ask a few questions and look around and I was treated great even though they knew I was not going to buy anything. Stopped in a few weeks later and Patrick remembered me, asked me a few follow up questions from my previous visit and also got my set up with a few things on this visit. Amazing dudes. |

This is a quality shop. Patrick and Clay are quality dudes. I see them out at the races and they are always willing to help. Patrick once saw me broken down at the mesa Verde 12 hr race and stopped in the middle of the race to try and help me. Unbelievable. Who does that? He didn't just stop for a couple of seconds, but minutes while he was racing. He gave it a solid effort to try and help me until I forced him get back on his bike. On another occasion at another race in Gunnison, Clay heard my fork wasn't functioning properly. He came over and knew the problem right away. Fork was blown, but he managed to tune the fork make it at least somewhat ridable so I could race. On the monday after the race he contacted me with a RA# to return to Sram for warranty fix. Who does that? Seriously superior customer service. Customer Service Super Duper great Customer service. I love these guys. Best in the Springs. New shop is great. THey'll throw your bike on the stand right there in front of you and get it done. Awesome! Similar Products Used: Need I say more. |

Attractive shop, but apparently undercapitalized and probably not intended to cater to serious cyclists of all types. Similar Products Used: I came in looking for a pair of 700x28, 700x32, or 700x35 street tires for my 29er.

Being a noob to mountain biking, a friend recommended Ascent Cycling in Colorado Springs. Patrick at Ascent is the guy you want to speak to regardless of your experience. He is extremely knowledgeable and takes great care to ensure that you are taken care of. He took the time to allow me to find the right bike that suited my needs, made some great recommendations for the gear I needed, and ensured that the bike I picked out was fitted just right. |

Shop is clean and uncluttered.Limited selections. Customer Service Went there and had my daughter's bike for a tune up. The owner is a snub, bought other items and he rung items not a smile or even a thank you for the business that was brought to him.Won't be coming back even though I was thinking about supporting local business around the neighborhood. |

This shop is fast becoming my favorite shop in the Springs. This is a smaller shop but the customer gets attention. Customer Service I purchased a bike from Patrick who was very knowledgeable and understanding. He took the time to talk about my needs from the bike. Similar Products Used: It is great to find a place that doesn't only sell the big names. Nice to find brands like Kona and Rocky Mtn. |

ONE OF THE BEST ANYWHERE. I've lived in many states, have visited countless bike shops in the US and a few overseas, and I must say, Patrick and Clay have a top notch shop. These guys bleed cycling and their passion for the sport spills over to their knowledge of bikes and their concern for the customer. Contrary to what sevenbike sevensport sevenwhiner whatever wrote on his review, I'd send my wife, my daughters, my mother even, to this shop....oh wait, I've done that. Service is great. Selection is well chosen and representative of what most cycling enthusiasts ride and dream of riding. Atmosphere is great as well, except for the occasional hair-band play list. Two words; awesome. |

This is by far the best bike shop in town. It is ran by people who are dedicated to the sport and willing to help anyone that is interested in riding regardless of their skill level. Customer Service They have real customer service from trained professionals unlike the large franchises that hire anyone off of the street. Similar Products Used: I would recommend this shop to anyone and you would be a fool to not shop here consistently. |
