Cool small shop in LEADVILLE, CO. The shop is located on 504 Harrison Ave (the main road through downtown Leadville) two doors down from the Proving Grounds Coffee shop. The owners, Chris Albers and Brian Feddema have 17 years of bike shop experience between them and are hard-core riders themselves. Both recently purchased 29er's and are totally hooked. They carry a good selection of 29'er tires, tubes, and other 29er essentials. Chris and Brian also take a lot of pride in their bike service, making sure the bikes they tune run like butter.

Customer Service

Great service, very timely, and these guys are excellent at solving difficult problems with all kinds of different bikes.

Cycles of Life is a small shop that was opened just this spring, so don't expect a big mega-bike-store. Then again, if you're looking for a small town, laid back bike shop, this is your place. It is also the meeting point for several group rides (Tuesdays ant Thursdays at 6pm).

(Disclaimer: I occasionally help out at the shop, so this review may be a little biased. I write as as fan of the shop, being a long time cyclist and bike shop enthusiast myself).

Cycles of life is a new bike shop in Leadville, CO, the country's highest incorporated town at 10,200 feet elevation and home of the Leadville 100 endurance mountain bike race. Chris and Brian partnered up to open the shop in the spring of 2007, replacing the Bike Haven which closed its doors this year. Both Chris and Brian bring a lot of expertise in bike repair. I have seen mostly Chris in action, and can honestly say that he is one of the best mechanics I have ever encountered. He can solve almost any problem, often making just the right tool needed for some bizarre bike malfunction that a regular tool can't fix. Both these guys are very enthusiastic cyclists themselves. They both just got 29'ers and love them. Cycles of life is a small shop that is just getting going, but they offer exceptional repair service, and have a stock of all the basic bike parts and accessories that you might need. Give 'em a look if you're in town for the hundred, or come on shop ride to learn some of the exceptional trails in Leadville (if your lungs can handle it). They are located on Harrison Ave in Leadville and the phone number is 719-293-5533.

Customer Service

Cycles of Life takes a great deal of pride in their service, and will help you find what you need, fix your bike, or even just give you information on local riding conditions. Chris and Brian are extremely friendly, nice guys and your experience with them will not dissappoint.
