I went to the location on Broadway, it is a smaller shop packed with the necessities for a great LBS. I have an Ultra Fatty DLR Headshok that needed rebuilt. They were upfront with me on difficulty finding parts for them. When it comes to these forks there are not very many places in the country that will even touch them without sending them back to the factory. So I gave them a shot and they came through. They were very thorough on the rebuild told me exactly what was going on, and I am very mechanical and I know the design of the fork so I was listening to see if they really new what they were talking about and they did. They had it ready in a couple days. Customer Service Customer service was very good they called with updates and prices to verify I was good with it which to me is a piece from old school business owners we don’t see much of anymore. This is my new LBS and I drive past 2 shops to get to this one. Similar Products Used: My recommendation to any new customer when you arrive just ask questions they are very helpful. |

Arizona Cyclist has two shops in Tucson. I dealt with the "Beer and Hot Dog" shop which deals with more mountain bikes than the other shop. We went in to look at a Fox Fork but wanted to talk possibility and a week later four of us had purchased Niner WFOs with Hammer- Schmidt and beyond. Ryan and his crew were amazing, in their knowledge, friendliness, personal touches on bike builds, open to any and all questions - researching things for us and getting parts in in record times - that I didn't think were possible. Customer Service I've been to bike shops that are welcoming up to a point, but then want to be left alone. At Arizona Cyclist Broadway you can stand and watch the whole build if you like. Their welcome is sincere and total. The whole crew works together in a close, tight, cluttered space, but they do work and they do kick out a quality build. I watched quietly as they added parts then double checked the build, discussed best cable runs, found hard to find parts to finalize a complex set up and made us feel part of who they are throughout the whole process. It's not a big place, full of bikes and customers and stuff stuffed everywhere, but I will now call it MY bike shop home. Similar Products Used: I've experienced a lot of shops, done mechanic work myself, been blown off and told off at other places, but this shop is absolutely the best of the best. They don't act like know it alls. They learn what they don't know. They go over things with you by doing it to show you, not just telling you. This takes extra time on their part, but they offer it, you don't have to ask for it. I believe they would welcome you if you came in to just chat or put together a never done previously bike build. I will return here again and again and again.

I recently purchased my Niner from the guys at Arizona Cyclist. They all were very helpful, knowledgable, friendly and made me feel very comfortable about my purchase. I have no regrets about making Arizona Cyclist my local shop. There is a great vibe in this shop, not like any of the other shops around town. It is a great place to just come and hang out. I am always very welcomed here as it seems like everyone is that walks through the door. Customer Service The Customer Service at Arizona Cyclist is like no other in town. Everyone is really friendly and makes shopping here a lot of fun. This shop as an amazing atmosphere made even better by the few guys who work there. Similar Products Used: I would strongly recomend this shop to anyone who needs anything from a high end Mt. Bike to an intry level road bike and every piece of gear and equipment in between. If there is something wrong with your bike, the shop here is phenomenal, if you need work done to your bike, these guys do an amazing job and have you back on two wheels in no time.

Lots of tude not much to back it up. The typical cyclist shop attitude is there but the knowledge to back it up isn't. They try and come off as an elite, high end shop but don't do much on the service end. Had a friend buy a new Santa cruz there and they wouldn't do an initial tune up because he missed the 2 month follow up window. Just not a good idea. I'd rather go to the lower key shop downtown. Not a mountain bike specific shop but helpful and willing to order anything you need- Ordinary bikes.

I was not impressed with this shop. They either have very little productknowledge, or are so eager to make a sale that they'll say anything. Iwent there to buy a Chris King headset. I asked the salesman, specifically, if the headset would work on a 2006 GT. He told me noproblem, only to find out later that my head tube was for an entirelydifferent sized headset, which Chris King doesn't even manufacture. Ifhe didn't know, he should have looked it up. I will not be doingbusiness there again. |

This shop was off to a good start, but then started to dissapoint. After they gave one of my mates a really good deal on a Cannondale, I thought they might become my new LBS. But, when I tried to have them rebuild a Fox F100X Terralogic fork, things went south. After I went back three times that they told me they'd have the seals, they never did. When I was about to leave the fork with them, I was a bit put off to discover that the dude that was going to 'take care of it', didn't even know how a Terralogic fork works. He thought it was broken because of the automatic lock out.
Customer Service The shop does have enthusiastic customer service. That's a good thing and a bad thing. They can be so eager to make the deal, that they promise things they can't deliver. It just causes frustration. |
