I normaly don't take the time to provide feedback, but had such a poor experience at Javelina Cycles that I had to post. Save yourself time and frustration by finding another LBS in the Valley! Customer Service Took my bike in for advice and service. The young guy who was working had only been there a few weeks so couldn't help, but assured me the owner would be there sometime that day and could help, as he was the one familiar with my bike brand. After leaving my bike, they called to let me know they didn't want to work on it and/or help me order parts as they didn't sell it, even though they were a dealer and still carry the brand for sale in the store! I wasn't a jerk at any point, and neither was the kid who the owner asked to deliver this message. While this is obviously their choice and right, it speaks volumes about the shop and their approach to business. Rather than use the opportunity to help me out and win my future service and sales, Javelina Cycles sent me away without support, help or suggestions. Similar Products Used: Please save yourself time and frustration. Buy your next new bike elsewhere, and do not take your existing one to Javelina Cycles for service. You have many, many choices - buyer beware on this business! |

Rick and his crew are informative offering great advice while never applying pressure to buy. For the beginner or serious racer, Javelina has the expertise and selection to help you purchase the best bike for you. Similar Products Used: My wife and I have bought 5 bikes from Javelina since October of 2007. I intend to buy my next 5 bikes from Javelina as well. If you are new to Mountain or Road biking,be sure to accept Jay's offer to provide a free coaching session. Jay is a sincere bike ambassador helping people rediscover the joy of riding. Bottom line...I recommend Javelina Cycles to anyone looking to purchase a bike. |

Great variety of BMX, Road and All-Mountain bikes. Whether you are looking for a bike to kick around town on or a high end road bike, this shop has probably got it. New store is really nice. Customer Service These guys know cycling. I have purchased two bikes from this store (a road bike and a full suspension mtn bike). In both cases I got what I needed. No one tried to sell me more bike than my skills or budget would allow. As a bonus both bikes were in stock so I was able to get them right away. I've been back since to buy some accessories and have always found the folks here to be helpful. Similar Products Used: The owner of this shop has been involved in the cycling community for a number of years. You may see him around town on a single speed track bike taking a club ride of 40 miles or riding a beach cruiser with a trailer in tow taking his daughter to day care. The folks at this shop are good people and you will be treated fairly. |

Javelina Cycles offers a wide variety of road and mountain bikes. I have purchased both a carbon frame road bike and a full suspension mountain bike from this shop and got just what I was looking for without being over sold. The new store if big and beautiful and carries some great lines. Customer Service Technical support is excellent. You will get the help you need whether you are being fitted out for a high end road racing bike or just getting a bike to kick around town. These guys know their stuff. Similar Products Used: The owner of this shop has been a fixture in local cycling community for years. You might spot him riding a 50 miler with the local club on a single speed track bike or pedaling his daughter to day care on a beach bike with a baby trailer in tow. This guy obviously loves what he does and it shows in his shop! |

High-end to cost-effective, wide variety of bikes in stock...and willing to get other stuff in, if your heart desires a non-stock item (as mine did). Customer Service I purchased a snazzy bmx bike from Javelina about 6 weeks ago. Service was prompt, polite, informative, and helpful. On top of that, the pricing was great.
Similar Products Used: I purchased from them, while they were still on Ray Blvd. I haven't been to the new location, on Chandler Blvd, yet. I hear that the new location has more floor space, which suggests to me, even better selection.
