Strength:
None because never received the service after dropping off the bike. Weakness:
Dropped of a bike and explained that we were from out of town and would be leaving on Thursday. First guy that helped us did say that they were busy and that it may take a week. We got a moment to think it over and the second guy came and looked at the bike said that it didn’t look like it needed to much work told him we would have to pick it up by Thursday and he agreed to keep the bike Called today which is Thursday and they haven’t even touched it. Good customer service would have you say something like you know what guys we are really busy and will not be able to get to this until next week that way you could actually know that they can’t do the job and take it somewhere else. They made us feel like they could do it by Thursday which didn’t happen. Wasted our time. |

I used to go there quite a bit. No more. Customer Service The waiting list for shop time sometimes went into two or even three weeks. Once in the queue, the work was usually done correctly but on a time or two I had to have simple work re-done, sometimes because they didn't do what I told them to do, even though they wrote it down. Like one of the earlier reviewers said, they can get very surly. And that was the last straw for me. Similar Products Used: Every other bike shop I have gone to (all the Landis shops, Sonoran, Road Runner, Performance, etc) have managed to get the work done same day (same hour) or the next day. All of them did the work correctly the first time. And the others are genuinely friendly. |

This shop has a great small town feel. People remember your name...your bike.....and are always available for conversation other than "what are you here for?" I have rarely gone into the shop where they have not had something I needed....or are quick to find what I need. I even walked into the shop with an out of town friend on the way to Utah.....brakes were seized....they spent an hour taking care of us on the spot to get us on our way. Couldn't thank them enough!
Customer Service ALWAYS feel like the staff listens to my issues....and informs me of what needs to be done. I'll clarify by saying that they explain what they need to do and why....not just tell you what they are going to do and how much it will cost. Nate and the rest of the crew are always friendly and understand every level of biker. Similar Products Used: I have personally purchased 3 high end mountain bikes from exhale...and a cruiser. I have sent both of my parents for bikes, my sister, and several friends. Love this place and have no hesitation sending anyone there. |

Great little BIG shop...neat and clean! Customer Service Nate and his crew are always courteous, and helpful. Similar Products Used: I've bought 3 bikes from this shop, and a ton of gear over the years! Always feel at home as soon as I enter the door! |

Overall the shop is well stocked and displayed nicely- however- they seem to have a problem in controlling maintenance times. Let me give you an example:

Outstanding shop with great selection. Like Lance says, "It's not about the bike". If they don't have it they are real good at getting it. The people of Exhale are what makes this a premier shop. One look at the owners bike or one of his mechanic's bikes and you'll know you are in good hands. Find what you want and buy it here. Customer Service The best. My wife bought a new 29er for my retirement several years ago from another local bike shop. I took it in twice for tweaking and got a boat load of disrespect and the run around. I ended up breaking the frame and got more of the same. I brought the bike into Nathan at Exhale and told him the problem. Even though he didn't sell me the bike or even carry the brand anymore he did the leg work for my warranty and rebuilt my bike with a new frame and some new components due to compatiblity issues. I just got back from 2 hours on it and I never thought it could be better than the one I broke; it is. I am absolutely grateful for the service Exhale provivded. They even called me during the warranty process to keep me updated. In the meantime, I rode my 1995 Mt Tam (Gary Fisher) Hardtail. I bought this bike from Nathan at Exhale, before it was Exhale. It still rides like a champ after all these years, a testament to the care Exhale puts into its service. Jeff is one of Nathan's mechanics. He did the rebuild on my 29er. What a great job! I can't say enough. Similar Products Used: Several years ago I crashed my road bike (again bought from Nathan) and busted both rims. Nathan was able to credit the warranty on my rims and put me into a Ksyrium wheelset for a great price. Just when I get bummed out about a bad bike situation I go see Nathan and he says, how about we do this or that. He has found a silver lining in my bike misfortunes and I have ended up with better bikes than I originally started with. I recently took two of my friends to Exhale and they both bought bikes. I'd recommend Exhale as your bike shop. They are that good. And to that other bike shop... you don't have to have tattoos, ear rings, or long hair to ride hard or be given a little respcet. I'll never let one of my friends step foot in your place again. The middle-aged guy on the old mountain bike that dropped you all during your weekend snob fest, yep, that was me. |

One of the first things I noticed about the shop was the setup. There is just the right amount of gear to keep you interested without being jam packed into every inch of the shop. You can maneuver around and browse for the latest and greatest without knocking everything over. Customer Service Customer service is TOP NOTCH!! My first road bike was purchased from Exhale. I walked in and was asked immediately if they could help me find anything. I told them it was my first bike, and to be honest I was expecting to be "UP" sold to a more expensive bike. They were more interested in getting me into a bike that was fit for my riding habits and ability without breaking my bank account. Similar Products Used: I really appreciate their honesty and desire to keep their customers happy. I plan to purchase more from them in the future. |

Exhale Bikes was well stocked and had all the supplies I needed. Great selection! Customer Service This was my first bike purchase so I went in with little knowledge. The staff was excellent!!! They were very knowlegeable and patient with me. I left feeling confident to go out there and ride and be able to maintain the bike. I would definately recommend Exhale Bikes! |
