I've been to Absolute a handful of times in Flagstaff. They have a good selection of stuff, probably more in the store than anyone else. It's a fun store to window shop at, it's over priced though. Customer Service Every time I go to Absolute I'm either I'm treated like I know absolutely nothing about bikes or I'm ignored completely. The times I've gone in to ask advice about fixing something on my bike the mechanics talk down to me like I'm just some local hick that doesn't know a thing. Their customer service is terrible. The only reason I gave them more that a one on technical expertise is if they talk down to people like they do to me they must know something. I've never taken my bike to them because of the way that I'm treated when I go there. Similar Products Used: Absolute may have a better selection of accessories than any other store in Flagstaff, but I'd rather order my stuff through another store. I'll pay less and be treated like I matter. If you want to pay a half way decent price and have the staff at the store actually take some time to help you find what is going to work best for you on your bike then Absolute is absolutely not the store for you. |

I live 2 hrs from both the Flagstaff and Sedona locations and shop at both. The Flag store is much bigger with more parts etc. It is by far the best shop in Flag, not that the others are bad though. They have the widest selection of sizes and models I've seen in AZ.
Customer Service Absolutely (pun intended) professional treatment at both locations by people who know what they are selling and fixing. Even though I made it clear that I was just shopping and they were very busy they spent a great deal of time answering all my questions and making me feel like I was the only person in the store. I did not buy that day and I could have bought the same bike 20 miles from home but made the trip to back Sedona because of the way I was treated while "just shopping". Similar Products Used: I had decided on the model of bike I wanted but couldn't find a shop that had an XL frame for me to try and compare to the L. Other shops said they would order it but I'd have to give a deposit on it. Absolute in Sedona just said over the phone that they would order one for me to try no obligation. Within 3 days they had it built and ready to try.

Well like the dime a dozen shops across the US this is like no other shop typically boring with no imagination so blah. You know their bikes are not moving when there is dust on them same goes for the inventory on the floor. Amazing how different stores are for the best one I have seen anywhere in the US is WebCyclery in Bend, Oregon. Too much inventory with so many bike shops they remind me of car dealerships no imagination. I could be in California and this would look the same that carries Specialized, Giant, Pivot! Boring!! Such potential and yet none put to good use to inspire those who come in. Customer Service What seems to be lacking in bike shops these days is the engagement with customers where they actually pertinent questions such as:
Similar Products Used: We all know that the economy is struggling and what is a shame these days is that there are countless bikes shops supporting huge manufacturers such as Giant, Specialized, Trek, GT, Mongoose, Haro etc all made over in Taiwan. These ships pollute the oceans and there have to be massive cargo ships traveling to and from Asia to deliver these bikes. US bike companies such as Intense, Pivot, Foes, Ventana, Titus and others are doing the right thing and we, in the US, should be supporting these bike shops not the ones overseas who are focused purely on $$$$! I used to ride GT (not anymore) then I rode a Yeti (not anymore) really liked Niner but they too are Made in Taiwan. |

Rad shop with a large selection of bikes of ALL kinds. Mountain, road, kiddy, old fart, any kind of bike you need, they probably have it. They also carry a wide selection of accessories as well, from downhill helmets to bike trailers, and anything in between. Customer Service Always greeted with a friendly "hello" when I walk through the door. The employees are nice and eager to help out and offer any assistance one might need. They know their stuff, weather it be mountain or road, and are very helpful. Great staff, I love that shop.
Similar Products Used: I will 100% be purchasing from Absolute in the future. I always feel comfortable in the shop, and the customer service is amazing. It is hard for me to give 5 flamers all the way across most of the time, but not today. This is my favorite bike shop. |

Great location, right at the most popular trailhead for mountain biking! Lots of parking. These guys really know their stuff as they've been in the business so long. They have lots of parts, accessories, and general stuff but they are a little light on clothing. Customer Service Excellent! Prompt in shop service, they call you when your special order is in or when your repairs are done. Very professional. If they don't have it in the shop they can always have something brought down from the main Flagstaff store in a day or so. Steve is also a great salesman, he can find the right bike for you, he seems to really enjoy it! Similar Products Used: I have a mountain bike touring company in Sedona, Sedona MTB Adventures, and I use Absolute Bikes exclusively. They have three different levels of rental bikes from the basic to high end demo bikes. Whether my customers are beginners or experts short or tall they have the right bike for them. |

Absolute Bikes in Sedona/Village of Oakcreek is amongst the most professionally run locations that I have had the pleasure to visit. I met the manager Steve of this store one afternoon when I was having some problems with my Mountain Bike. I have to tell you about Steve we ended up talking about Mountain Biking and the various manufacturers Absolute represented. Steve is so thorough taking time explain everything that I needed to know about selecting a bike, well to make a long story shorter we ended up purchasing three Specialized Mountain bikes from him. If you are in our area and need to rent a bike or if you need bike maintenance go see Steve at Absolute Bikes in the Sedona/Villeage of Oakcreek 928-284-1242... Thanks Steve Customer Service Absolutly the Best! |
