Here is a copy of the letter I sent to the owner of Mac's cycle after exhausting all opertunities with his staff. i highly recomend that NO ONE does buisness with this company. Buyer DANGER DANGER!!!!

Mr. Larry Ashton
Owner Macâ??s Cycles

My name is Chet R Biggerstaff. I called your store last week about an ad for a 2002 BMW K1200LTe. I asked about the miles, its service record, and if anything was wrong with the bike. I was told it had 73K+ miles on it and that it had just had its service and that nothing was wrong with it. The sales person went further to say the tires were at 80%, not new but close, and there was nothing wrong, that it was an excellent example of the K1200. I then put down a $200 deposit on it via the phone taking his word for it. The next day I had to arrange a ride to get there as I live in the Tri-Cities WA. Once there we did the paperwork and the sales person was starting to tell me what everything did. I stopped him and said I wanted to learn it on my own as thatâ??s part of the fun of a new (used in this case) bike for me. I did ask if there was anything that was not obvious that I needed to know about the bike and the sales person told me you had to hit the alarm button before it would start. I then asked if there was anything else and there was not so I left (I had to be back in town by 3pm to get my daughter from school so I was in a hurry). The following day I went to wash and give the bike a thorough inspection as I didnâ??t have time the previous day. Here is what I foundâ?¦.
Tires at 10% not the â??almost new 80%â? I was told on the phone
The brakes are shot
The exhaust system has a big crack in it
The bike had been dumped. There is crash damage under the left side drop bumperâ?¦.the fairing has been rather badly scratched up including the underside of the left bumper

I was not told about any of this and should have been. The crash damage is very hard if not impossible to see from a standing position which is why I didnâ??t see it. The problem I have being told your store didnâ??t know is the bike had been washed which is how I found the damage. It is beyond belief that your store would take in a bike for consignment and not know everything you could about it just like any other bike on your lot. I complained via email about the tires and brakes but said that it wasnâ??t that big of deal until I found the crash damage and the broken exhaust. Now I am beyond mad. It is very little cost to your company to supply a new set of tires on the house to keep a customer happy when this was plainly your companies fault.

Made an appointment for the net day, brought it my bike and hand them take a look at it. Without bending over they could tell I had put my brake pads in backwards. I left it the night for their in house maintenance package and told them I needed a functioning piece. Obviously knowing little about bikes I prayed for honesty and was was greatly rewarded. They did an amazing job at replacing only parts that I needed. I was expecting to pay upwards of two hundred bucks for everything, it came far short of this and they only charged me for spare parts because they included labour in the maintenance package. Just brilliant.

I went back about three weeks later when I broke my crank shaft, I had quotes from friends saying the standard shaft can as a part and would usually run for about a hundred bucks. I walked in the store, they recognized me from earlier in the month and told me they'd have it out the next day. I came back to be told it would be just shy of 19 dollars for everything. Guess they have old bikes they take for scraps and they took an old crank shaft off of one for me. I bought a single crank shaft, something my friends didn't even think was do-able. I can only imagine any one big name store telling me to upgrade this or change to that. In my own neglect I told them I had the wrench set to put my old peddle back on. I didn't and showed up the next day for a chuckle and have then put it on for me. In and out in less than five minutes.

Folks, this store is nothing short of sheer brilliance. Customer service, quality, and for a price that literally left me dumbfounded. I'm my books these guys are simply the best. Especially after past experiences with a car mechanic and a computer technician...
