Although this shop SEEMS small, they have a huge inventory (especially Electra and Brooks products) that you won't find anywhere in Vancouver. The shop is very clean, tidy and organized with every available space used to display awesome merchandise. You can spend hours in there customizing your ride and getting great advice. Their service dept. is professional and fast. This company really tries to accommodate everyone's needs.

Customer Service

Their superior customer service and extensive knowledge about their huge inventory made a big differenI hadn't been on a bike in over 18 years so I only had a vague idea of what I was looking for. I didn't have to wonder for very long. Julie, one of the owners took a lot of time asking many questions and had me sitting on bikes until she picked out a few choices that fit my criteria. DBS really encourage people to take "test rides"ce too. I knew if I needed something, this was the store I'd get help from, and it would be done with a smile. Also, the one FULL YEAR of free warranty tune-ups was a big bonus, and the store was close to home. The DBS staff never made me feel pressured to buy from them and they took the time to answer my many questions (ranging from how to ride properly especially on busy downtowns streets, to bike maintenance, to what kind of helmet, lights, rack, lock accessories suited my needs).

I can't wait to show off our beautiful rides by taking part in DBS' huge event - The Electra Bikes Ride around Stanley Park (early summer '12). DBS isn't a retailer who just focuses on store profits. They really help create awareness of this healthy activity and help to bring the biking community together though their many fun events. DBS also give back every year by donating a few of their gorgeous, top of the line bikes as prizes for several charity fundraising events around Vancouver and they donate their time to other charity events and dinners as well.

The best things in life come in small packages, why should a bike shop be an exception? The space is perfectly managed and very well merchandised, there are so many accessories to choose from! No other shop comes close to the selection they have.

Customer Service

I have been a customer of the Denman Bike Shop for almost 2 years and have been more than satisfied by their customer service. I was impressed that my bike was tuned up the same day when other shops take considerably longer. On top of that, they gave me a courtesy call to let me know my bike was ready.

The smallest store, the worst customer service, the most expensive service.!!

They will charge you even for install a bike bell witch only takes 1.5 minutes. The prices are HIGH. You can get the same stuff cheaper in any other bike store.

I have been there 3 times. The first time took me 35 minutes just to get a bike lights. If they have more than 2 customers good!!! you can be theres forever!!!!. The second time I want to buy fenders. I needed to left the bike in the store and the guy told me "we will call you once your bike is ready" I ask how long will take?? about an hour he said... OK.... I went to my house and wait for 3 1/2 hours and no one call me so I went back to the store and I ask Is my bike was ready?, she said oh yes your bike is there you can take it. I said well you guys didnt call me she reply ohh i see.. well yeahh is ready.. That's it!!! not even sorry!!! bad bad bad service...

Please if you read this just go to another bike store. I can recommend you Bicycle Sports Pacific, Dunbar bicycles, West point Cycles. Just try not to go there!!!!

Customer Service

Poor... they treat you bad.. Even they kick you out if they had a bad day. and you can barely walk is such a small store.. But they are very good charging money for every sinlge small thing they do in your bike..

Pretty small shop, packed with mostly cruisers, some bmx & mountain bikes. Lots of accessories.

Customer Service

I've been to this shop twice in the last month, once to look at cruiser bikes (with the intention to buy) and once to get some service done and spend a gift certificate.

When I was looking to buy, I faced a lot of high-pressure sales speeches, to the point that I had to leave the shop just to get the woman to stop talking so I could think. As soon as I said I wanted to think about it before dropping $800+, the mood turned cool quickly.

I ended up buying a Norco bike somewhere else for a way better deal, and as I suspected, when I returned to change the handlebars and get a rack, the staff were first kind of rude and didn't want to help me until it was clear I wanted to drop some cash, then the guy trash-talked Norco and my bike, saying it was a screwed-up rip-off of the American brands they sell.

This shop needs a lesson in basic customer service and social etiquette. Unfortunately, I still have store credit to use up at this place, so I'll have to return. Otherwise, I would be taking my business elsewhere.

for a tiny little shop, they pack in a tonne of bikes and accessories. lots of styles to choose from, leaning to the cruiser/bmx brands on the floor. the service appeared to be quick and efficient from what i witnessed while being in the store for about an hour.

Customer Service

the owner, justis, was really friendly and casual when i went in looking for a cruiser. he encouraged me to take a couple out for a spin around the block and gave a nice, brief synopsis of what things to consider.

unfortunately, his girlfriend soon took over the "salewoman" role and inundated me with what i felt to be way too much talking and pressure. it actually turned me off of buying from the shop. i had to leave just so i could think about it, and the minute i said that, the service turned cool.

tone down on the sales pitches sister! i probably would have dropped $800 dollars at your store if i'd been given a minute of peace to think about it.
